Membership Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: January 10, 2026

Alliance Circle Participation Policy

The Alliance Circle is a professional membership community created by the Yellowstone County Mental Health Alliance (YCMHA) to support connection, consultation, and professional growth among mental health providers and allied professionals. By joining the Circle, members agree to the following policies and guidelines.

Purpose of the Alliance Circle

The Alliance Circle exists to reduce professional isolation, encourage collaboration, and support sustainable, ethical practice. Programming includes peer consultation calls, planning labs, think tanks, book club discussions, and community connection opportunities. The Circle is not a replacement for clinical supervision, therapy, legal consultation, or formal continuing education unless otherwise stated.

Membership Eligibility & Participation

Clinical Members

Clinical membership is open to licensed and pre-licensed mental health professionals. Only licensed and pre-licensed clinicians may participate in peer consultation calls, which include discussion of clinical cases and professional decision-making.

Allied Professional Members

Allied professional membership is open to non-clinical professionals working in the mental health space (consultants, administrators, advocates, educators, etc.). Allied members may participate in Circle events such as think tanks, planning labs, and book club meetings but are excluded from clinical peer consultation calls due to ethical and scope-of-practice considerations.

Peer Consultation Guidelines

Peer consultation within the Alliance Circle is:

  • Non-hierarchical

  • Collaborative

  • Not supervision

  • Not therapy

Members are responsible for their own clinical decisions, ethical practice, and licensure requirements. Feedback offered during consultation is for reflection and consideration only. Participation in peer consultation requires agreement to confidentiality standards and completion of a brief confidentiality acknowledgment prior to first attendance.

Confidentiality

All members agree to:

  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding any cases, scenarios, or personal information shared during Circle events

  • De-identify all client information

  • Refrain from recording Circle sessions. Absolutely NO recording will be permitted at Peer Consultation Sessions.

  • Respect the privacy and professional boundaries of other members

Violation of confidentiality may result in removal from the Alliance Circle without refund.

Membership Structure & Pricing

The Alliance Circle offers both an introductory Founding Member rate and a standard membership rate.

Founding Member Rate
The Founding Member rate is a limited, introductory price offered during the initial enrollment period. Members who join during this period may retain this rate for as long as their membership remains active and in good standing. If a Founding Member cancels their membership and later rejoins, they will be subject to the current standard membership rate at the time of re-enrollment.

The Founding Member rate:

  • Applies only to the individual who enrolls

  • Is non-transferable

  • Does not extend to agencies or organizations

  • May include a minimum commitment period

  • Is available only during the defined Founding Member enrollment window

Standard Membership Rate
After the Founding Member enrollment period closes, all new members will join at the current standard membership rate. This rate is subject to change at any time with notice.

The standard membership rate:

  • Applies to individual memberships only

  • Is non-transferable

  • Does not guarantee agency-wide or organizational pricing

  • May be updated periodically to reflect changes in offerings, structure, or value

Agency & Group Practice Memberships

Agencies and group practices may enroll under structured membership options. Agency memberships require:

  • Named participants

  • No seat swapping

  • A designated liaison for communication

  • Clear attendance caps or rotation where applicable

Agency pricing differs from individual pricing to ensure sustainability, ethical boundaries, and quality of experience for all members.

Attendance & Capacity

The Alliance Circle reserves the right to:

  • Cap attendance at events

  • Adjust scheduling or format

  • Rotate participation for large agencies

  • Modify offerings as the community grows

Events are scheduled to support accessibility while maintaining a high-quality, engaged experience.

Directory Listing

Membership includes inclusion in the YCMHA member directory. At this time, the directory is informational and not searchable by filters. Members are responsible for providing accurate, up-to-date information.

Community Conduct & Non-Solicitation Policy

The Alliance Circle is designed to be a supportive, collaborative space for connection, consultation, and professional growth—not for selling or prospecting.

Members agree not to:

  • Solicit, pitch, or promote services to other members within the community

  • Use the membership directory, Slack channels, events, or contact information to pursue business opportunities or clients

  • Send unsolicited messages, emails, or offers to other members

Relationship-building and organic referrals are encouraged. However, any form of direct or indirect solicitation is not permitted.

Violation of this policy may result in removal from the Alliance Circle without refund.

Refunds & Cancellation

Memberships renew automatically unless canceled in writing by the member. Requests for cancellation can be emailed to circle@ycmentalhealthalliance.com. Members who purchase an annual membership and choose to cancel before the end of their annual term will be charged the equivalent of the monthly membership rate for each month they were active members. Any remaining balance will be due at the time of cancellation. Annual memberships are otherwise non-refundable, and access to Circle benefits will end upon cancellation. Refunds are not issued for missed events, partial participation, or early cancellation outside of stated policies.

Community Standards

Members are expected to:

  • Engage respectfully and professionally

  • Honor differing perspectives

  • Participate in good faith

  • Support a culture of learning, growth, and mutual respect

The Alliance Circle reserves the right to remove any member whose participation disrupts the integrity or safety of the community.

Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated as the Alliance Circle grows. Members will be notified of significant changes.
